Stroke is rapid and sudden damage to the brain. It is also known as brain attack or paralytic attack. Stroke is the third leading cause of death, after coronary heart disease and cancer. On an average, someone has a stroke every 40 seconds. More women die of stroke than of breast cancer.
Neuromuscular disease is a broad term that encompasses many diseases and ailments that impair the functioning of the muscles. These may directly involve the muscle directly or indirectly by involving the nerves or the Neuromuscular junction (the meeting point of the motor nerves and muscle fibre). The symptoms of Neuromuscular diseases may include- Numbness, painful abnormal sensation, muscle weakness, muscle atrophy, muscle pain or twitching (fasciculation)

He has also completed his specialization M Ch. ( Neuro Surgery) from AIIMS, New Delhi in the 1994. Prof. Sahoo also done DNB Dr. Sahoo formerly worked as Prof. & HOD Neuro, Spine, Radio Surgery at Army Hospital (Research & Referal), New Delhi & Armed Forces Medical Collge, Pune. Brig. Prof Sahoo is working as Chief Consultant Neuro, Spine & Radio Surgery at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Sahoo completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 2004. He is passed his MCh. (Neuro Surgery) degree from AIIMS, New Delhi in the year 2012.
Dr. Panigrahi passed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur in 2006. He has completed his MS (Surgery) from VSS Medical College, Burla in the year 2010. He has also awarded in MCh. (Neurosurgery) from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 2014. He has got fellowship in Neuroendoscopy from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh in 2015. Presently Dr. Panigrahi is working as Associate Prof. in the Department of Neurosurgery at IMS & SUM Hospital , Bhuaneswr since last 4 years.
Dr. Nayak completed MBBS from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 2003. He is passed his D Ortho from Medical College, Kolkata, WB in 2009. Dr. Nayak done his MS (General Surgery) degree from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 2013. He has awarded with DNB (Neuro Surgery) from Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha in the year 2017. Dr. Nayak worked as Medical Officer at Hi-Tech. Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar from 1st Jan 2005 to 30th May, 2007. He was also worked as Senior Resident at Hi Tech. Medical College from June 2009 to June, 2010. He was working as Registrar Neurology at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar from April 2014 to June 2014. Now Dr. Nayak working as Jr. Consultant Neurosurgery from July, 2017.
Dr. Rath completed his MBBS from MKCG, Berhampur University in 1996. He has awarded with MD (General Medicine) from Berhampur University in 2000. Dr. Rath completed his DNB in the year 2007. He was worked as Consultant in Kalinga Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar. Dr. Rath is also going to Care Hospital as Visiting Consultant.
