Dr. Pabitra Kumar Misra, has a brilliant academic and professional career with 12 year of experience in the field of Urology & Kidney Transplant in several reputed multi-speciality hospitals in the Healthcare Industry post qualification.
He has performed independently more than 300 laparoscopic and open living donor nephrectomies along with transvaginal extraction of kidney (NOTES).
Performed independently 100 renal transplant recipient surgeries. Performed laparoscopic and open marsupialization in renal transplant recipients. Performed jointly in more than 800 renal transplants (both live donor related and cadaveric donors), triple renal transplants, swap transplants and Pediatric renal transplants. Have assisted organ retrieval in cadaveric transplants.
Performed more than 50 LASER TURP (HoLEP) procedures. Independently performed more than 500 cases of RIRS (Retrograde intrarenal surgery). Have assisted and performed vast number of endourological procedures like PCNL, URSL, TURP, TURBT and Cystolithotripsy.
Performed paediatric laparoscopic urology and open pyeloplasties, laparoscopic and open ureteric reimplantations with tailoring, STING procedure for VUR.
Performed female urology laparoscopic and open repairs for VVF and UVF, urinary incontinence surgeries.
Performed procedures like buccal mucosal urethroplasty, endoscopic urethral alignment and internal urethrotomies, bladder repair and ureteroureterostomy for iatrogenic bladder or ureteric injury and Boari flap procedure.
Assisted vasovasostomy and vaso-epididymostomy and performed procedures like subinguinal varicocelectomy, orchidectomy/ orchidopexy for torsion testis, testicular biopsy, vasectomies and hydrocelectomies.
His academic credentials are MS (General Surgery) from Pt. B.D. Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Rohtak, Haryana), DNB (Urology) from Medical Trust Hospital (Kochi, Kerala).
He has previously worked with many Multi Speciality hospitals like Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (Hyderabad), Medical Trust Hospital (Kochi, Kerala), Pt. B.D.Sharma PGIMS (Rohtak). His last organisation was Care Hospital (Bhubaneswar) as Consultant – Urology.
